Audrey McRae Thompson
Audrey Thompson, 94, died Oct. 16, 2019, at Westview Health Care Center in Sheridan, WY.
Audrey was born April 12, 1925, on Easter Sunday, in Forsyth, Montana, to Evan D. McRae and Alice (Edwards) McRae.
She started school at the McKay Country School on Rosebud Creek, then finished and graduated high school in Forsyth, Montana. She married Vernon Thompson Oct. 2, 1943, in Hardin, Montana. The couple spent most of their lives in Montana. She listed her occupation as a homemaker and mother. Audrey had lived in Sheridan the past 27 years.
Audrey was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers, Evan McRae Jr.(Duke) and Malcolm (Mac) McRae and one sister, Carol Kimball.
She is survived by four children, Ken (Barbara) Thompson of Whitefish, Montana, Carol (Darrel) Hamilton of LaGrange, Wyoming, Tim (Cindy) Thompson of Billings, Montana, and Todd Thompson of Parker, Colorado, as well as 12 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Audrey was a member of the First Baptist Church in Sheridan and had studied with the Stephen Ministry.
Services will be at First Baptist Church in Sheridan, Friday, Oct. 25 at 1 p.m. with Pastor Brad Kremensek officiating. A Reception will follow at the church. Inurnment will be held at a later date in Montana.
