Disturbance on Fort Road Results in Multiple Charges
A 41-year-old Sheridan man faces multiple charges following a disturbance at a residence on Fort Road over the weekend.
According to Lt. Travis Koltiska, officers responded to the residence around midnight Saturday after someone in the home reported a broken window. The alleged suspect, later identified as Aaron Ilg, had left the property prior to the officers’ arrival.
With only a first name, physical and vehicle description, officers located the vehicle at a nearby bar. When officers entered the bar and attempted to identify him, Ilg gave them false information.
After confirming Ilg was the person they were looking for, officers returned to the bar. However, Ilg had reportedly already left on foot.
A short time later, officers saw Ilg’s vehicle leaving the area, and at approximately 2:30 a.m., they attempted to stop it. Ilg attempted to elude officers but stopped a short distance later in the area of the VA Hospital.
Ilg was arrested and charged with driving while under the influence, eluding an officer, interference with an officer, and destruction of property.
