Governor Gordon and the Wyoming Wildlife Foundation to Raffle Bison License for $10
On April 11, Gov. Mark Gordon’s office announced that Wyoming residents who are eligible to hunt in the state can enter the Governor’s Bison License raffle for just $10.
“I wanted to give any Wyoming citizen who enjoys hunting or who has ever considered hunting a chance to experience this time-honored Wyoming tradition,” Gordon said in the announcement. “Hunting not only provides food for a family but also gives a fabulous way to experience our wildlife in Wyoming’s amazing outdoors. And what could be more authentic than hunting North America’s iconic bison.”
The proceeds from the raffle will support Wyoming’s wildlife and habitats through the Wyoming Governor’s Big Game License Coalition.
“We are incredibly grateful of Gov. Gordon’s belief in sustaining Wyoming’s wildlife and outdoor spaces,” said Tony Woodell, director of the Wyoming Wildlife Foundation. “The dollars raised in raffling this license will directly impact the animals and landscapes around the state we all care so much about.”
The bison license is non-transferable and raffle tickets are limited to one per person. The raffle is open until July 25 and the lucky winning ticket will be drawn on July 27 at Cheyenne Frontier Days.
