A 39-year-old Sheridan man faces multiple charges after a pursuit Wednesday afternoon, including aggravated assault and battery, interference with a peace officer, and attempt to elude an officer. Additional charges are pending.
According to a release from Sheridan County Sheriff Allen Thompson, deputies responded to the report of a domestic dispute around 12:30 p.m. March 13 in Ranchester.
As a result of that investigation, deputies notified other local law enforcement agencies to be on the lookout for an adult male in a black car with Utah plates. The release stated Wyoming Highway Patrol (WHP) troopers located the vehicle on Interstate 90 and engaged in a pursuit near Sheridan.
The Sheridan County Sheriff’s Office, Sheridan Police Department (SPD) and WHP were all involved in the pursuit and attempted to keep the subject, who was allegedly armed, away from populated areas.
The driver eventually stopped the vehicle near exit 33. According to the release, SPD Lt. Travis Koltiska was instrumental in negotiating a surrender. The driver, Jack Fleenor, was arrested without incident.
At this time, no further details are available as the case is still under investigation.
