SAWS Elects New Officers
The Sheridan Area Water Supply Joint Powers Board (SAWS-JPB) elected new officers at their first regular meeting of 2019 on Wednesday, Jan. 9.
The Sheridan Area Water Supply is the rural water system surrounding the City of Sheridan. The objective of the SAWS-JPB is to supply rural water customers and the City of Sheridan with potable water.
Through a set of agreements with the Sheridan County Commissioners, the Sheridan County Public Works office and the City of Sheridan manage and administer all functions of the system.
The current members of the SAWS-JPB include Sheridan County Commissioners Nick Siddle, Tom Ringley, and Christi Haswell, City Councilors Jacob Martin and Aaron Linden, and Mayor Roger Miller.
All officer nominations were seconded and carried unanimously. The officers are as follows:
Tom Ringley – Chair
Roger Miller – Vice Chair
Jacob Martin – Treasurer
Nick Siddle – Secretary
SAWS-JPB Administrative Assistant Anny Birkholz and Project Manager Dan Coughlin were present at the meeting. Councilor Linden was not in attendance.
The board took care of one piece of new business before adjourning. They approved an amendment to an ongoing agreement between SAWS-JPB and EnTech engineering.
