(Buffalo, Wyo.) This past weekend proved to be an exciting one as high school football teams from around the area traveled to Laramie to play the state championships at War Memorial Stadium. The final score with a few highlights are listed below.
Taking home the 4A state championship for the 3rd year in a row was the Sheridan Broncs. The Broncs returned the opening kickoff for a touch down, setting the pace for the game and winning over Natrona 28-14.
3A went to Cody who won over Torrington handily at 20-0.
The 2A Championship game was an exciting one as the Buffalos scored with 7 seconds left for the win. With the final touch down, Mountain View took home the win over Glenrock 28-35.
1A showed Big Horn going up against Pines Bluff. Pines Bluff ran with it for a 20-16 win ending the season with the Hornets as repeat champions and an undefeated season.
Kaycee took home the 6 man state football championship and they came alive in the second half, winning easily against Farson-Eden with the final score being 55-30.
With the 2017 football season in the books, it’s time to look forward to some basketball.
